Let us capitalise on the power of ideas

We concur with Keynes on the power of Ideas in human affairs and we concur with Freud on the potential power of the voice of the intellect and the power of persistence. 

We also see The Wealth of Nations of Adam Smith not “so much an conventional academic work as an intellectual canon” aiming at destroying the old feudalistic view of the world in one-go and to replace it with what Adam Smith saw as a  much smarter “intellectual structure” to theorise about the world as he saw it. We do think it is inspiring to see the American Declaration of Independence as the “political twin” of the Wealth of Nation and that the US Constitution is Smithian in certain profound ways.

Issac Newton has once made a remark that “If I can see further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants.” If we concur with Keynes and Freud on the power of Ideas and Intellect, then, perhaps, one way we could possibly see and achieve more is through leveraging and capitalising on the ideas produced by the intellectual giants in history, East and West; Past and Present. As Thomas Jefferson once put it, “The good opinion of mankind, like the lever of Archimedes, with the given fulcrum, moves the world.”

And we seek to further strengthen the power of ideas and intellect through synthesizing them into an integrated whole and to supplement them with the ideas and deeds of “all those who have lived” plus the power of art and aesthetics.
