Our methodology of Research
Our Value Investing Heritage
A significant part of our research is about Enterprises especially listed companies and the methodology we use for analysing companies and their stocks is rooted in the Value Investing Philosophy pioneered by Benjamin Graham which we think has provided a sound intellectual framework for analysing companies, listed securities as well as the nature of the Capital Market, which was subsequently refined and enriched by two other masters in Value Investing: Warren Buffett and Martin Whitman.
Combining the teachings and insights of these 3 great value investors in history, Value Investing has become a respectable and important branch of human knowledge in its own right, in our view.

Our Style of Research…
We seek to research and analyse all kinds of subjects related to Humanities. While value investing philosophy and corporate analysis constitutes an important component of our work, our research is not limited to the Value Investing Philosophy alone; it is a mosaic of complementary principles and ideas coming from philosophy, economics and various intellectual disciplines as well as real life experiences and observations and we seek to unify and synthesize them into an integrated whole, with a central and encompassing “intellectual structure” to theorize and understand each subject matter which can also be continuously refined and enriched over time.
John Stuart Mill once made the following remark: “We have had the morality of submission, and the morality of chivalry and generosity; the time is now come for the morality of justice.” We see profound insights and value in Mill’s vision of our time being characterised by a morality of justice and our research does aim at providing justice to the subject we are researching in. They are aiming more to provoke and inspire and we aim at ourself being able to do something constructive and meaningful for the subject matter we seek to research into. Herein shall lie one key importance and value of Research and Free Inquiry, in our view.
